PROFESSIONAL GROUP WORKSHOPS ON COMPETENCY ASSESSMENT IN HEALTH PROFESSIONS EDUCATION

The third day of the conference will focus on new approaches and metrics in assessing competencies related to different categories of health professions (Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry, Nursing, etc.)

Although there is a considerable amount of overlap and similarities between the health professions’ education competency domains. Still, each has its peculiarities and job-related competencies.

We expect that what was presented and discussed in the pre-conference workshops and the keynote presentations, will have an impact on the different professional group meetings and discussions which will take place.

We expect each professional group will come up with specific recommendations and suggestions which can be implemented in their own context.

The recommendations of the different professional groups will be presented in the closing session of the conference.

Although the discussions will be about the UAE Competency Frameworks, still they can be applicable to other contexts in the region and beyond.
